This musical celebration of American singer-songwriter Cole Porter features NZ legend Lisa Tomlins [Vocals] and a lineup of a brilliant performance band including Anita Schwabe [Piano], Zak Dikvert [Guitar & Vocals], Russell Henderson [Saxophones], Nick Tipping [Bass] and Greg Crayford [Drums].
Porter is regarded as one of the 20th-century’s greatest composers of musical theatre, which then became the pillars of the American Songbook, with many hit shows to his credit, such as ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Kiss Me, Kate’, ‘Can-Can’, ‘Silk Stockings’ and ‘High Society’.
This concert marks the 61st anniversary of Cole Porter’s passing by celebrating his genius through his timeless hit songs such as ‘Night & Day’, ‘You’re The Top’, ‘Begin the Beguine’, ‘I Get a Kick Out of You’, ‘You Do Something To Me’, ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’ and many more!
